Beyond Limits was the first event of its kind – a conference with the goal of amplifying the voices of young people with disabilities at its heart.
In October 2019 hundreds of young people with disabilities, parents, carers and teachers gathered to hear about the achievements of those with disabilities; learn about technology, education and employment opportunities; see sports and activities in action; and fostered conversations about inclusion and relationships.
Inclusion and accessibility was at the heart of the design for this conference – everything from fonts, colours, styles, props, presentations and display went through a considered and rigorously tested process with a panel of young people and experts in the OCO.
Beyond Limits was brought to Ireland by the Ombudsman for Children’s Office and was supported by RTÉ 2FM. Project of Language.
