On 25th of May 1,429,981 people voted YES to repeal the 8th Amendment 35 years after its insertion into the Irish Constitution. It was an honour to design the visual heart of this robust, transformative and touching campaign – the fact that it was won by a landslide 66% was the cherry on top.
In 2019 100 Archive sat down in Temple Bar Gallery + Studios with David Joyce, founder of Language, and myself, then a designer at Language, to find out more about the studio, its culture and the work produced, with a particular focus on the identities Language made for Yes Equality (2015) and Together for Yes (2018).
